Self had been assigned the task of watching known or suspected vessels, and there couldn't have been a task LESS compatible with her personality. While within the void spying on each one, she constantly found herself trying to find distractions that kept her awake; but as the word 'void' might suggest, there wasn't all that much. Jogging in place, pacing back and fourth, jumping jacks, learning to juggle, imitating a fan, playing cards with Mi, inventing a new medicine, and trying to design a 19 sided dice had all run their course.
Currently, she'd gone back to just trying to watch - but people were not interesting 100% of the time, and she could not hear what they were saying. She was told that 'actions speak louder than words' but at the moment didn't believe a word of it. In fact, whoever made up that phrase deserved to be punted 30 feet into a stampeding group of Rhino's!...Because THAT sounded like an action worth watching.
Everything felt so heavy, the world and it's darkness. She could not morph the void, it was someone elses space - not hers, and her will could not out match her masters. If she could, she would have made a pillow and blanket appear, along with soothing sounds of a chilly blizzard with a crackling fire.
Mi had already fallen asleep, the pink eye on her hat had closed to a single lid letting anyone know that knew her secret, that her soul was no longer paying attention. When ones soul fell asleep, how much further behind could the vessel?... Just a quick nap couldn-...
When she awoke again, she was sinking in water... On reflex her limbs kicked and propelled her upward toward the sun where she broke the crust again, looking about in all directions completely confused. How had she ended up in an ocean?!...
Looking skyward, she saw one of her void portals closing up and leaving her behind...she'd must have fallen into one of her spy glasses! Which one was it? Only one had an ocean, and only one had a large military looking craft... This was Strict Woman's spyglass!
She'd cough and flail, trying to look out for dangerous fish... but all she saw was the waters surface. She needed to look beneath to see if anything was coming. So, leaving her eyes open - she dipped her head into salt water.
